Friday 24 June:
Comedy Night with Lewis Schaffer – Free Until Famous
The acclaimed New York comic comes to Calstock with his unique pay-what-you-want free show. Yes, admission is free – give only if you laugh.
Lewis Schaffer combines the comedy genes of Joan Rivers and Jackie Mason with the relevance of the freshest comedians. His free-wheeling style makes every show different and thrilling. Fasten your seat belts.
Lewis holds the record of the longest residency at London’s Leicester Square Theatre. Before that he was one of the top comics in the home of stand-up, New York City. A short visit to London in 2000 went very wrong when love and marriage took him from his beloved New York and gave him children, divorce and heartache in the UK. Now trapped in Nunhead, a suburb of Peckham, Lewis is making the worst of a bad situation.
